Our client, a leading facilities management company are seeking to appoint a Technical and Asset Management Lead. The ideal candidate will report to the Key Accounts Manager, with the main job purpose being to assist the Facilities Manager with all mechanical and electrical elements of the building.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years asset management experience.
• BEng / BTech Mechanical and/or Electrical degree or equivalent.
• Member of the GBCSA (Green Building Council of South Africa) or being in the process of obtaining membership would be preferable.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical design and its applications.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities:
• To plan, inspect, direct, coordinate and budget, all activities pertaining to the mechanical and electrical of services at the site e.g. UPS, Generator, elevators, HVAC, etc
• Manage specialised maintenance contractors for mechanical and electrical elements and manage the Scope of Service and the SLA.
• Implementing and maintaining a computerised facility management and maintenance system.
• Execution of mechanical and electrical building related activities as predetermined by the company,
• Ensure site integration of a computerised facility management and maintenance system.
• Monthly reports of mechanical and electrical operations.
• Assisting with planned preventative maintenance of mechanical and electrical assets.
• Quality assurance of mechanical and electrical operations.
• Project Manage mechanical, civil and electrical projects.
• Manage service & maintenance contractors and liaise with Management of contractors.
• Internal Staff: Performance Management. Training & Development.
• Act as on-site project manager for mechanical, electrical and certain civil work.
