A position is available to a Technical Author. You will support the organisation through managing the help documentation which highlights and communicates both new and existing feature functions for a Marketing and Communications company.

Qualification:
Matric and BA and /or MA Degree in a similar field

Skills & Experience:
2-3 years’ experience within a Technical Author role
Experience with Selenium Web-Driver using Java with a minimum 2 of years’ experience
ITSTQB certification (advantageous)

Experience in:
A clear and concise writing style
A keen eye for detail
Ability to turn technical subjects and jargon into easily understood text
Ability to create and execute high quality documentation
Solid understanding of software design techniques
Solid understanding of object oriented programming, design and debugging skills
Understanding of white box, grey box and black box testing techniques
Automated Performance Testing.
API Driven Testing.
SQL Server
Exposure to Fitness and Test or Behaviour Driven Development.
Experience programming at least one object oriented language - Java.
Experience testing on windows - ASP.Net, .Net, SQL - GUI applications, web services and/or web applications Back-end and front-end

Job Description:
As the Technical Author, you will work within the Production team reporting to the Product Manager, the Development team and the QA team to ensure all software enhancements are documented. You will have client and customer interaction, be involved in commercial advertising and administration. You will be expected to report feedback in a pro-active manner and therefore you should have strong communication abilities.
