PBT Group has a requirement for a senior business analyst with a strong logical ability, a systematic thinking approach, and who is strongly motivated by a need to deliver quality solutions and with innovation. Good communication is essential in this role, as well as a high attention to detail.

This person will work on software projects, performing many aspects of a software delivery lifecycle, including analysis, programming, testing, installation and maintenance of reconciliation solutions and associated data.

Will also project manage tasks and own deliverables, as well as reporting into and communicating with customers.

DUTIES:

1. Analysis & Solution Definition
- Interact with internal and externals source system Analysts\Developers to solicit information and data for reconciliations
- Contributes to design activities; may design solutions
- Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the reconciliation environment.
- Liaising, gathering, eliciting and analysing of business and data requirements including data standards to meet defined business requirements
-- Working with business users to define and redesign business process to compliment the overall solution
- Analysing and reporting on data quality for specific data sets
- Being an integral part of the entire end to end delivery from need identification, specification, working with the developers, functional testing (unit and regression), supporting user acceptance testing, user training and, final delivery of a workable solution into the Live environment
- Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to reconciliation solutions
- Develops business cases and functional and interface specifications and other artefacts required as part of the Business/Data Analyst role.
- Configures application to map source system data to reconciliation application data
- Liaise with Vendor Support and Professional Services teams for issue resolution and assistance with recon implementations

2. Technical Recommendation and Testing
- Migration of reconciliations from heritage systems to Smartstream Reconciliation Tool
- Map source files to database fields in Smartstream MI tool
- Understand application database structure and build Adhoc PL/SQL queries
- Documents Technical Specifications and Implementation Plans
- Implement workflow process to manage reconciliation exceptions
- Gap Analysis, Test Script, Unit Testing, Regression Testing, System Integration Testing
- 3rd line support when required
- Static data maintenance
- Leads testing efforts, particularly related to data matching and verification
- Working knowledge of data constructs and principles of database design. Must be able to interpret an Entity Relationship diagram.
- Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
- Works with client personnel to identify required changes.
- Communicates needed changes to development team
- Drive application development by becoming an expert on the reconciliation application that is currently being used in the company.

3. Project Execution
- Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
- Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback.
- Communicates and applies project standards.
- Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.
- Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.
- Conducts application training to first-time users.
- Understands the components of running an end to end successful project.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
- An IT related qualification from an accredited college or university
- IBM Websphere MQ & Message Broker application background useful
- Linux (RedHat), VMWare virtual server environments, Control-M scheduling software background useful
