? Analyse requirements, negotiate and purchase spare parts as required
? Supporting Engineering with pricing of projects
? Ensuring sufficient stock levels
? Ensuring that cost effective purchasing takes place at all levels of procurement
? Timeously pricing RFQ’s, negotiating prices and lead times with suppliers
? Price and purchase material for manufacturing, as supplied by Engineering on Bill of Materials and Production Orders
? Ensure site procurement requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner
? Assist Sales & Engineering with pricing on projects for manufactured items and specific equipment rentals
? Monitor supplier lead time and service rate
? Cost reduction objectives with suppliers with a view to setting up service level agreements (SLA’s)
? Analyse the local availability of components and in case of proposed equivalent by supplier
? Analyse stock of items for repairable items and projects to define re-ordering quantities as and when required
? Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
? Compile monthly statistics on cost saving initiatives
? Participate and comply with HSEQ MS, with specific focus on Supplier and Contractor
? Price negotiations with suppliers
? Timeous quotations from all suppliers and monitoring thereof
? Matric
? Purchasing qualification
? Able to work on SAP, Word and Excel
? 5- 10 years experience in a procurement, purchasing and negotiating environment
