Technical Cloud Product Manager

To work closely with clients and the technical team to translate the client’s business requirements into a specific solution design. Establish and maintain (along with the sales team) long term business relationships with the new and current client base. Position is available in Midrand.

Duties and Responsibilities
Pre-sales
o Build a business case for the solution (Product research)
o Assist in researching new clients who might benefit from the solution to maximise client potential (Market research)
o Expand market awareness of the solution and field of expertise by communicating features and benefits
o Support marketing initiatives by attending and participating in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
o Maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing and market strategies
o Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining the solution in a convincing and persuasive manner that a solution or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery. Show how the solution will lower cost and increase production
o Assist sales team with tenders from a technical perspective by putting together the technical proposal/aspects
o Working knowledge of the price calculations
o Communicate sales and services opportunities and customer concerns and suggestions
Technical (Post-sale)
o Continuously keep up to date with changes in your field of expertise
o Listen and fully understand the client’s needs, requirements and concerns
o Design the solution
o Anticipate, manage and meet the client’s expectations
o Identify and resolve client concerns, recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future
o Responsible for setting the customers’ expectations
o Work with the technical team to make sure project requirements are met
o Demonstrate and explain best practices in installation techniques for the solution
o Working on after sales support services and provide technical back up as required
o Maintain contact with existing customers
o Advising customers of updates and new technologies
o Submit quarterly customer visit plans, schedule client meetings and action plans for follow up
o Communicate any client information’s that may affect company decisions to relevant persons as needed
Skills Requirement
o Extensive knowledge of the technologically sophisticated solutions in his/her field of expertise in order to explain their advantages and answer questions
o Must have the expertise to understand customer requirements and then incorporate technical knowledge into demonstrating the effectiveness of your solution and explaining how it will provide an ideal technical solution to your client’s problems
o Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally
o Knowledgeable about all aspects of technology
o Good understanding of software and underlying infrastructure to trouble shoot system problems when necessary
o Ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills.
o Able to work independently and meet deadlines
o Good people skills in order to bring business and technical together

Education and Experience
o 10 years’ of Software Consulting experience on a specific solution
o Knowledge of:
o Azure, AWS, Office 365, HyperV, VMWare, Docker, Kubenetes
