Our clients are a mulit-national IT company and they are seeking Technical consultants for their on going projects in South Africa. They want to grow their South African operations and are seeking permanent employees.

The job holder will be responsible for providing technical advice and guidance to external and internal clients. The role holder will be an expert in all Wealth Management related software, interfaces, solutions and implementations within the company. They will be involved in the support and resolution of complex technical requirements or issues. The role has client-facing aspects, including visits to client offices.

Knowledge and Required Skills

Educated to Degree Level
Knowledge of Investment, Life, Pensions, and WRAP business
Advanced knowledge of software platform architectures, including deployment models and integration
Business knowledge within the Insurance and Finance sector to achieve the desired functionality with the software
Knowledge of Java technologies
Knowledge of HTML/XML/XSLT scripting
A proven understanding of the development life cycle with a wide understanding of project deliverables
Knowledge of Web services and XML

Experience

Commercial software development experience – preferably in Java technologies
Proven experience within a financial services environment
Proven experience in a client facing role
