Client looking for a Technical Engineer
Responsibility
1. Physical implementation of various products
2. On site and remote fault resolution
3. Dealing with customers directly and therefore conducting yourself in a professional manner
4. Updating Job cards and various other administrative tasks
5. Updating the Helpdesk software with your daily notes and finding
6. Although tasks will be assigned to your name and dates set out, you are responsible largely for your own time keeping
7. You need to ensure that you attend all of the various tasks set out for that time period (Individual day or week)
8. You will report directly to the Technical Manager, however you may also receive designated tasks from other Managers or senior staff relating to your job portfolio
9. Worked on / have a decent understanding of Linux based operating systems (Non web GUI based) and specifically Centos OS5
Knowledge
1. Worked on / have a decent understanding of Linux based operating systems (Non web GUI based) and specifically Centos OS5.
2. At least 1-3 Years working within the Telecoms industry working on Technical related tasks.
3. Previously programmed ADSL and Wireless routers, Gateways and analogue converters etc
4. Very good network and problem solving skills are required, as our system relies largely on a stable network.
5. A good understanding of Telecoms industry standards and terminologies, such as ISDN/PRI/VoIP etc is required
