TECHNICAL INVESTMENT SPECIALIST
Minimum requirements for this job:
• B Com (Finance/Investment Management related) or similar, and/or post graduate diploma in Financial Planning (CFP®)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance product and investment fund insights, which will include:
o Maintaining, enhancing and running the investment tools used by business, including cost comparisons, cost savings and fund analyses tools.
o Remaining up to date with the latest developments within the industry, for example gathering information on fees, pricing, fund fact sheets, etc.
o Perform ad hoc research on products and funds, and present the results and insights to business.
o Perform competitor analysis.
• Use product and fund insights to support the business as a whole, and in particular the investment specialist sales team, which will include:
o Performing regular cost comparisons and cost savings analyses to compare products and funds.
o Perform full book analyses.
o Building and maintaining strong working relationships with the investment specialists within the sales team.
Key Activities:
• Perform cost comparisons, cost savings and fund analyses within SLA. Maintain the inputs and assumptions that are used by these tools.
• Perform competitor analyses on an ad hoc basis, and regularly gather information on competitor products and funds.
• Regular interaction with the investment specialist sales team in order to support their sales effort and interactions with distribution.
• Present product and fund insights at sales conferences.
• Assist in preparing sales pitch packs and presentations on request.
• Perform ad hoc research on products, funds and industry related matters.
• Enhance processes and increase efficiencies where necessary.
