We are seeking a skilled, professional Technical Manager to join our dynamic and growing team.
• Oversee all technical matters company wide and manage our support team.
• Work collaboratively with clients/users, the development team, and various stakeholders within the company to ensure the delivery of all products in an efficient, timely manner.
• Manage technical projects and maintenance in consultation with stakeholders while ensuring quality, safety and regulatory compliance of installations, equipment and technical processes.
• Provide guidance and insight to upper management and procure buy-in
• Report progress, including any changes made to plans and production
• Plan and implement projects
• Delegate technical responsibilities and monitor progress of projects
• Deliver projects consistently, on time, and on budget
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables
• Define tasks and required resources
• Collect and manage project team
• Manage budget
• Allocate project resources
• Create schedule and project timeline
• Track deliverables
• Support and direct team
• Lead quality assurance
• Monitor and report on project progress
• Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
• Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
• Evaluate and assess result of projects

Requirements
• Seven years’ experience in a technical role in a Chemical / LP Gas / Compressed Gas / Engineering / Maintenance environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering or similar field
• SAQCC registered LP Gas and/or Compressed Gas installer would be advantageous
• Customer service orientated
• Strong project management capability
• Delegates and allocates responsibility efficiently to manage projects end to end
• Knowledge of legal requirements for various types of gas storage and reticulation installations and pressure equipment
• Able to manage maintenance programmes to ensure legal compliance and plant availability
• Ability to communicate effectively with team and customers.
• Good decision making and technical problem-solving skills
• Able to provide technical and safety training to the team and customers
• Computer literate with Word and Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Process Safety
• SHEQ orientated
• Within easy commute to Alberton
