NexusAG is one of the leading distributors of agro-chemicals and related products in Southern Africa and provides comprehensive value-adding crop protection and technical support services to our customers. Due to continued growth and with the purpose of strengthening the current technical support function, the abovementioned position has become vacant at the company’s Head Office.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice and support services to customers and sales agents
• Establish and maintain the product portfolio of NexusAG
• Technical training, market research and support to sales agents
• Investigate inquiries, claims and complaints
• Provide guidance w.r.t. research and development of products / services
• Ensure that NexusAG crop protection programs comply with all national and international requirements and regulations
• Regular communication with all key stakeholders such as customers, agents, board committees, industry organizations and suppliers of products and services


The ideal candidate will offer:

• A tertiary qualification in Agricultural Sciences (a postgraduate qualification will serve as further recommendation)
• An AVCASA accreditation will be advantageous
• Proven practical experience in crop protection -, production and/or a consulting environment
• Extensive technical knowledge (specialisation in horticulture will be an advantage)
• Proven knowledge of pest control programs, agro-chemical– and plant nutrition products
• Excellent analytical, administrative, computer, problem solving and decision making skills
• Well developed interpersonal– and communication skills
• Disciplined, accurate and motivated person who can work independently as well as within a team context
• Marketing and sales experience will support the application

A market-related remuneration package in accordance with qualifications, experience and seniority of the position, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
