Our motor distributor client based in Ekurhuleni is looking to appoint a EE Technical Manager

Minimum Qualification:
• Relevant post Matric qualification

Minimum Work Experience:
• Minimum 5 years experience within the industry
• 2-3 years experience as a qualified technician
• 2-3 years experience as a Technical Support Specialist
• 2 years managerial experience

Main purpose:
• Manage the Technical Department
• Implement client Motors Policies and Procedures as per the client Motors Norms and Procedures
• Ensure that the entire dealer network confirms to the standards as laid out in the client Motors Norms and Procedures
• Manage and conduct Hotline assistance as laid out in the client Motors Norms and Procedures
• Respond to dealer calls within 2 hours
• Manage the collection and submission of all QIR reports at dealer and head office levels
• Ensure the technical specialists are adhering to the Policies and procedure
• Conduct and manage the Homologation process in it's entirety
• Develop and manage the service plan costing criteria for all models in our range
• Assist in the upkeep of service plan costings as to SuperService menu
• Implement continuous improvement strategies within the department to ensure the upliftment of the dealer network to improve customer
satisfaction
• Liaise with client Motors, the National After Sales Manager, and Training Manager regarding training requirements in the network, technical
issues, developments and problems
• Liaise with, and assist the Customer Resolution Manager on all customer complaints of a technical nature
• Urgently seek the resolution of all outstanding customer complaints of a technical nature
• Copy and distribute the client Motors Special Tools Catalogue to client Motors Authorised Repairer’s and Technical assistants
• Arrange a minimum of 1 Dealer Conference annually
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping
• Approve suppliers in conjunction with the National After Sales Manager
• Evaluate audit reports on Technical staff and maintain client Motors standards
• Distribute all Technical Information timeously, ensuring that the client Motors Authorised Repairer’s have the latest up-to- date technical
information at all times
• Ensure Special Tools and Technical Equipment is ordered prior to the launch of all new models
• Ensure Special Tools and Technical Equipment is ordered for the training centre prior to the launch of any new mode
• Ensure Special Tools and Technical Equipment is distributed and maintained through out the client Motors Authorised Repairer network
• Monitor the repair process of all vehicles within the client Motors Authorised Repairer network longer than 60 hours
• Ensure that discipline exists within the Technical Department in adherence to client Motors Standards
• Report any out of line activity to the National After Sales Manager
• Submit a month end report to the National After Sales Manager
• Maintain a good relationship with the client's OEM principal
