What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Plastics Manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.

* Troubleshoot Injection Moulding Issues like: Short Shots, Mould Flash, Sink Marks, Voids and Weld Lines
* Optimise Injection Moulding Machines e.g. Injection Pressure, Speed, Temperature, Moisture
* Program Injection Moulding Machines
* Optimise Mould Changes using SMED
* Manage Setters

Background work experience:

* 5 years Technical Aspects of Injection Moulding
* 3 years Injection Moulding Methods

* Trade Test or Polymer Qualification
* Deep Expertise in Injection Moulding Techniques
* Understanding of the technical aspects of injection moulding e.g. Injection Pressure, Speed, Temperature, Moisture
* Understanding of Injection Moulding Troubleshooting e.g. Short Shots, Mould Flash, Sink Marks, Voids and Weld Lines
* Understanding of how to program a configure Injection Moulding Machines
* Understanding of how to optimise changeovers using SMED
* Advantageous: Injection Moulding of Large Components
