The successful individual will be required to ensure cost effective technical purchasing that meets costs, quality, schedules and the technical requirements. The Procurement Officer will measure the quality produced and implement processes to ensure optimal mine performance.

Job Description:

Maintaining the engineering quality controlling system and procedures within the department according to the set standards of the company
Evaluating and approving work produced by the relevant service providers
Investigating deviations and implementing action plan to manage corrective procedures
Issuing penalties to non-conformance delivery and products
Auditing and assessing all current and potential service providers to the company
Ensuring evaluations and recommendations regarding to rotable components and advising the relevant stakeholders during the repairing process regarding quality and progress
Investigating warranty claims by identifying the liable parties and processing claims until resolved
Setting the standards for a scope of work, reviewing and recommending new scopes of work, updating and maintaining data basis and the review whilst training stakeholders on the job
Ensuring service level agreement standards are met
Actively evaluating current company practices to recommend improvements or changes in regards to quality, costs and efficiency
Receiving of the component failure report
Obtaining strip and quotes, comparing and improving quotes and submitting recommended quotes to the relevance superior for approval
Ensuring timeless delivery of products produced
Performing quality inspection of the equipment upon received
Approving invoices and completing relevant work orders
Filing hard copies as required
Printing weekly reports and presenting it at weekly meetings
Generating any ad hoc reports on request

Minimum Requirements:

Matric with Maths and Science as relevant subjects
Relevant Trade Test + N2
Around 5 years of working experience with technical repairs procurement
Experience as a Trackless Mobile Machinery Foreman will be an advantage
Valid code 8 drivers licence
