Our client, a leading Software Company based in Pretoria requires an individual who has the ability to develop professional rapport and engage with customers at an executive level to occupy the role of a Technical Sales Consultant. You will be required to acquire new customers through identification, meeting, relationship building and assessment of business challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES 

New Customers

  • Research sources for developing prospective customers and information to determine their potential.
  • Secure initial meeting to introduce P1 solutions.
  • Participates in trade shows, seminars, and conventions.

Existing Customers

  • Ensure existing customers renew their annual support agreements as they become due.
  • Pro-actively seek new business by targeting a combination of existing  and prospective customer base.

New and Existing Customers

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in an assigned territory segment to generate new business.
  • Develop and present proposals to address identified problems and solutions thereof.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
  • Conduct presentations to various decision making audiences.
  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify advantages and compares organization's products/services to competitive products.
  • Analyse the territory or industry vertical potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customer's value to the organization.
  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly pipeline goals.

Admin / Routine/Sales Hygiene

  • Provide sales reports on a weekly, monthly basis or as agreed.
  • Update and maintain prospect database and opportunity funnel on a daily basis, assuring management of prospect database.
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return-on-Investment for the territory.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric
  • Degree/Diploma in IT or Engineering
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in software/high tech business application sales
  • Valid drivers license and own vehicle
  • Good communication skills
