An exciting opportunity exists for a bright, energetic and eager individual to join a small but driven team within a well established and successful small business. My client, a small family run business now in its 29th year, supplies the widest range of laundry, dry cleaning and associated equipment at the most competitive prices in Southern Africa.

Primary Objective:
To create sales opportunities and to consistently convert the leads/enquiries into realized sales, with the
aim of increasing the company’s overall sales revenue.

Key Performance Indicators:
• Convert sales leads/enquiries into realized sales.
• Achieve sales targets.
• Thorough product knowledge.
• Development, maintenance and strengthening of customer relationships.
• General sales assistance and related administration in the achievement of overall sales revenue.

Main Responsibilities:
• Create sales opportunities.
• Achieve sales targets.
• Maintain thorough understanding and execution of the sales process for maximum revenue generation.
• Develop and maintain thorough product knowledge.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships for maximum retention and revenue generation.
• Respond to sales leads/enquiries from new and existing customers.
• Conduct sales meetings/presentations when required.
• Generate quotations and perform follow-ups via telephone and/or email.
• Up- and cross-sell products where possible for increased product penetration and sales revenue.

Other Responsibilities:
• Liaise with clients and suppliers to co-ordinate delivery and installation.
• Maintain planned and regular customer contact to increase potential repeat sales.

Professional and Personal Requirements:

This position will suit an individual with at least 1.5 years sales experience within a technical / industrial environment. Your proven flair for figures, high level of accuracy, detail orientation and initiative are critical requirements for the role, as is your ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The Sales Executive should have business and sales oriented skills in the areas of communication, including but not limited to: verbal; written; listening; questioning; manners; problem solving; social awareness. A positive and self-motivating attitude will be an asset in taking initiative in the setting, planning and prioritising of sales goals. A self-confident personality with measures of assertiveness and diplomacy will assist a relaxed and patient team player in achieving their sales target.
