Technical Sales Representative – IT Software & Services – Cape Town

Well established company are looking for a Sales representative, with solid customer relations capability, with a passion for providing Information Technology solutions to the SME market.

Salary: Market Related – Depending on experience.

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric, with Marketing Sales Qualification
• 2-5 years’ Technical skills experience
• Must be capable of establishing credible relations with external/internal clients, senior and executive management, project and programme personnel as well as subordinate staff, quickly and confidently as necessary.
• Clean driver’s license and willing to travel within South Africa.
• Report writing and communication skills necessary.
• Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
• Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
• Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
• Thorough understanding of the sales cycle process and the ability to develop a sales plan, with execution strategies and ability to judge the sales success factors according to individual customers.

Key Duties:
• Market and sell Information Technology equipment and services.
• Build and maintain long-term solid trusted relations with customers, through reliable service levels, and constant effective intervention.
• Work with and develop the customer relations data base and interactive client management and sales strategy planning tools.
• Develop, propose and Implement long-term and situational tactical sales strategies to achieve sales objectives and targets.
• Situational management and the ability to improvise in situations to succeed in the task or to create a future opportunity to respond with correct information.
• Regular client site visits.
