Company Description
An industrial pumps company is seeking technical pumps sales representative to contribute towards the development of sales and customer service by providing technical support and to produce quality quotations.

Job Description
•Gaining competent knowledge and understanding of product features, advantages and benefits to be able to professionally represent them to customers.
•Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
•Providing active customer care comprising of technical sales advice to customers, customer profiling, processing of customer orders and following up on customer queries.
•Liaising with key accounts and mines on a national and global level regarding technical enquiries.
•Developing and maintaining customer databases and implementing calling procedures.
•Preparing, submitting and monitoring sales forecasts and budget reports, customer reports, monthly progress reports and sales statistics.
•Advising and giving the customers recommendations on necessary and optimised system improvements, with focus on correct actions to be carried out as well as carrying out technical customer reports.
•Ensuring the technical inbox is managed within the agreed time frame.
•Maximising profitable sales, finding a product that meets the customers’ needs whilst presenting the offer in a professional manner.
•Attending monthly sales meetings to discuss customer reports.
•Ensuring that all quarterly and annual sales targets are met.
•Effectively negotiating price increases when required to do so.
•Calculating pricing for quotations.

Qualifications
•A Technical Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or equivalent will be an advantage.
•3 – 5 years working experience as a technical sales representative is essential.
•Must sales experience within the waste water and /or F&B and/or Chemical industries.
•Previous experience working within the pumps or engineering or related industries is essential.
•Previous experience working in a Technical environment is essential.
•Strong commercial flair, in particular ability to identify and develop new markets within the company’s business focus areas.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
•Must be a team player with the ability to work independently.
