The Client:
An opportunity to join the South African arm of a global company within the security solutions industry exists with our client in Cape Town. With a passion for client service they strive to integrate the latest security technology; intelligence and specialised manpower to tailor make security solutions to meet each customer’s needs.

The Role:

This unique role has two key streams of responsibility, namely managing the Security Operations Centre for the Western Cape, and being accountable to technical clients in terms of service delivery. In addition, responsibilities will include all operational, administrative, commercial, HR and financial elements of the SOC. Full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility: watching over turnover, costs and investments forms a critical element of the position as does ensuring a profitable and quality service is provided to clients at all times.

With the support of a Control Room Manager as well as technical and specialised expertise in the broader business, you will also work alongside Sales, to grow your portfolio of clients.

Requirements:
The role will suit a technically savvy, tenacious, and emotionally mature individual with experience in all of the elements of business as indicated above.
Extensive people management experience across all levels is essential. You will be required to work closely with Control Room staff, in a highly pressurised environment which can often be challenging and will require a level headed approach.
Experience within a client focused and service/solutions based industry will be of benefit, while industrial relations knowledge and experience is essential.
Your ability to attend to and give assurance to challenging clients and situations is a requirement of the role, as is your ability to participate in high level client meetings, conducting yourself in a professional and mature manner.
The nature of the position may require long working hours with the possibility of needing to respond to after hour emergencies from time to time, as well as doing after hour operational exercises.
