Technical Support Administrator

A vacancy exists at Agricolleges International for a Technical Support Administrator. This position is based in Johannesburg/Tzaneen and reports directly to the Information Technology Specialist. The main purpose of the position will be to provide first line support to students and entire ACI team including troubleshooting and training on system capability, navigation and functionality.

Key responsibilities include:


• Monitors and responds to Brightspace users’ queries.
• Answering questions, providing advice, and troubleshooting.
• Researching on user training needs.
• Aids in learning data system uploads and instructional design support.
• Prepare programs and reports on the IT department’s technical support functions.
• Provide advice and assistance to the IT Specialist on current technologies (hardware and software) related to improve operations of the organisation.


The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Diploma in IT or relevant IT qualification.
• Minimum 2 years relevant work experience with Learning Management Systems.
• Experience working with Content and collaboration systems.
• Experience in web development and design.
• Knowledge of E-learning learning solutions including mobile.
• Excellent knowledge of IT Support and Helpdesk management systems.
• Knowledge of ITIL methodologies in the processes of Incident, Problem, Knowledge and Configuration Management.
• Knowledge of ITIL Change, SL and SC management processes.
• Good Knowledge of Google Suite and HTML, CSS and other similar web technologies.
