Client in the banking industry based in the Johannesburg CBD is looking for a Technical Tester in the quality assurance team how will understand, plan, prepare and test all and any systems changes or enhancements in order to maintain stable computer systems for the business. The role exists in order to prevent the risks of implementing incorrect or unstable software enhancements and the end results are stable systems that operate in line with the business rules.

Job Description:
• Work with the Test Analyst throughout the Testing lifecycle to understand the required functionality.
• Responsible for, and manage the quality assurance (testing) process within the development application and Projects.
• Develop and execute regression test scripts.
• Execute all automated scripts in the required environment.
• Develop scripts for functional testing using Quality Center.
• Automate manual scripts using QuickTest Professional.
• Raise defects based on failed tests in Quality Center.
• Serve as key technical guide for the design and implementation of all current and new functionality, processes, procedures and specifications.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Good oral and written communication.
• Maintain attention to detail, completing multiple or repetitive tasks.
• Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines.
• Experience in all the phases of the systems development lifecycle.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to analyse issues.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies and tools such as QTP and Quality Center essential.
• Minimum of 3 years of solid experience with test automation using QuickTest Professional or WinRunner (essential).
