Requirements
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• 5 years’ experience in an Electronic R&D environment.
• Proficiency in word processing, editing and graphic software essential.
• Technical writing references will be an advantage.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• Ability to create, assimilate and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner.
• Study technical drawings, specifications and prototypes in detail to extract relevant information.
• Be able to create basic drawings and block diagrams with the aid of graphic design software.
• Editing, proofreading and document publishing skills essential.
• Be able to work independently, delivering accurate documentation under deadline pressure.
• Be willing to gain COMINT experience and familiarity with COMINT terminology on own initiative.
• Be willing to travel if necessary.
• South African Citizenship is a key requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:
• Document products and systems according to engineering detail designs or high level specifications
• Gather relevant information through-out the organisation and extract clear, concise text from complex information
• Document the technical abilities and functional usage of the product from a technical and user perspective
• Produce high quality technical, user and maintenance manuals
• Improve mechanisms to measure documentation quality, user feedback and financial investment in technical manual preparation
• Review previously published material and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content and publication.
