Join a leading Education Company as their Technology Director for business enabling solutions; be accountable for delivery of all Business systems and Sales & Marketing deployment projects in South Africa to time, budget, scope and quality.


Main Responsibilities


  • Lead the deployment of Business Systems and Sales & Marketing technology solutions to users in South Africa to scope, schedule, budget and quality.
  • Build relationships with Sales & Marketing stakeholders to facilitate the development of deployment roadmaps and plans and support business change effort nationally.
  • Establish a strong pro-active partnership with Business Systems Platform teams and
  • Sales & Marketing platform teams to understand roadmaps and ensure supply of the required technical capabilities.
  • Manage the demand for and assignment of resources to meet business commitments, including the use of third parties where appropriate.
  • Maintain visibility of deployment portfolio and report project KPIs to the Growth Portfolio Executive

  • Deployment projects delivered to scope, time, budget and quality nationally.
  • Technical capabilities deployed to meet customer requirements nationally.

Essential skills, qualifications and experience


  • Substantial experience in the delivery and deployment of multi-million Rands technologies across a region or country.
  • Experience of software development methods and tools.
  • Strong programme/project management skills managing multiple projects, large cross-functional work-streams, project budgets, influencing senior level management and key stakeholders within country.
  • Strong experience in building relationships and assessing and delivering technology tolocal requirements.
  • Strong experience in system integrations.
  • Highly organised, focused and driven with a track record in delivery of projects to time, in scope and to budget.
  • Extensive experience in estimating and planning from a commercial perspective with external customers and sales teams.
  • Strong time and quality management skills as well as previous experience in the management and resourcing of teams.
  • Experience in status reporting to senior leadership including risk and issue management and escalation.
  • Management of a budget, third parties and resources.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Desirable skills, qualifications and experience


  • Business Systems delivering experience (ERP, Sales & Marketing CRM, etc).
  • Learning Technologies delivery experience.
  • Higher degree (eg.MBA) desirable.
  • Experience in a global matrix organisation.
