Key Responsibilities:

Define, manage and execute robust strategies and processes based on business objectives and directive.
Deliver on leadership and management of IT/ Technology team
Handle stakeholder management and engagement (i.e. business leadership, team managers and external partner)
Deliver on budget forecasting, planning, approval and monitoring through engagement with business leadership and the Financial Manager
Accountable for IT strategy/ development/ architecture at a leadership level
Manage and oversee the following technology areas pertinent to an omnichannel retail business:
Solution Architecture
Software development
Hardware, Equipment and Infrastructure
Security
Delivery and project management


Knowledge:

Understanding of entire IT value chain – preferably in a retail ecommerce industry
Solid understanding of budgeting and financial forecasting principles
Commercial & business acumen
Software development Lifecycle
Agile and Waterfall methodologies
IT hardware and infrastructure
Server management and administration
System integrations
System and infrastructure availability strategies and processes
System architecture
Infrastructure architecture
Data security strategies and processes

Experience:

8 years relevant IT senior management experience – leading an entire IT function including Solution Architecture, Software development, Hardware, Equipment and Infrastructure, Security and Delivery and project management
E-Commerce technology management experience
Leading multiple IT functions teams in a retail operation
Setting-up and leading an IT Team
Successful track record as an IT leader who has successfully led and been a key contributor to the significant technological growth of a business

Qualifications / Courses:

Tertiary level degree in IT preferred
Various up to date courses in technology
Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
