A company and people performance improvement agency based in Melrose Arch is currently recruiting an young, dynamic Intermediate Technology Services Consultant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support from a user to an infrastructure level, he/she will be required to be the bridge between all 3 levels of support and assist the 1st level Helpdesk consultant should it be required.

Three areas of the portfolio:

  • Support Services
    • o Providing end-user (1st,2nd through to 3rd level) assistance and advice through the
  • Junior Consultants;
    • o Providing server, connectivity, prioritisation of services, configuration of systems policies and enforcement thereof;
    • o Identification of services-abuse and escalation thereof;
    • o Pre-emptive maintenance and the scheduling, designing and monitoring thereof;
    • o Provide server and application administration on the following systems:
      • AccpacERP
      • AccpacCRM
      • SQLServer2005and2008
      • MSExchange2010
      • ActiveDirectory,DNS,DHCPandreplicationservices
      • DoubleTakesyncconfigurationandmonitoring
      • Backupfacilitycoordinationandmonitoring
      • Firewallprioritisation(rules,user-mapping;trend-analysisandconnectivitydesign)
      • Siemens PABX, OSO Server, TMS system management, Mimecast Administration
      • Symantec DLO and Netbackup
      • SharePoint 2013
  • Administration
    • Active Directory, TMS, Backups (BackupExec & NetBackup), Procurement procedures,vendor management,infrastructuremaintenance
    • Monthly DACUM
No less than 1 years experience providing administration and maintenance of:
  • MS Active Directory 2008/2012
  • MS Exchange 2010/2013
  • VmWare data centres through VCentre Server
  • Storage Devices (SAN, DAS & NAS)
  • Symantec Backup DLO and Netbackup
  • Antivirus Management
  • SQL Server 2008/2012
  • Network troubleshooting, including TCPIP, route and tracing abilities
  • MCITP 2008 or MCSE 2012
  • Sharepoint
