The Provisioning Engineer is responsible for configuration, deployment and ongoing support of Client Premises Equipment, Provider Edge Hardware and Software, VMWare and Linux server environment as well as second line support to the CSOC
Responsibilities
Assisting the PMO and Provisioning Office with documentation and implementation:
Obtaining configuration requirements from customer IT
Executing configuration detailed on Pre-Deployment Documentation
Assisting with cutover of services
Ensuring configuration is implemented and ready prior to cutover
Configuration of Client Premises routers and switches
Configuration of SIP devices
Testing hardware before deployment
Installation of hardware
Configuration of Provider Edge:
Configuration on the billing engine
Configuration on the PE Node
Configuration of servers routing tables where applicable
Management of the company Server Environment
Deployment of new Virtual Machines
Configuration Changes
Troubleshooting
Root Cause Analysis
Second line support:
Monitoring service activities on CRM and resolving escalations from CSOC in a timely and efficient manner
Performing diagnostics on the company core and resolving issues, escalating where necessary
Successfully diagnosing and resolving technical faults
Handling escalations assigned by the Provisioning Manager
Conducting RCA and providing findings for the Provisioning manager for incident reports
General administration:
Administrating change control procedures
IP Planning
TMS and call recording platforms
View daily reports and monitor performance, addressing anomalies as they occur:
VMWare performance
Network performance
Host performance
Qualifications
CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, RHCP, DCAP, VCP, CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+
2 years of experience in the Information Technology sector?
1 year experience with UNIX based operating systems?
1 year experience with Cisco hardware and software
1 year experience with VMWare
