Location: Cape Town Harbour, Cape Town

Purpose of the Role:
To increase sales and obtain new customers. To sell products to existing and new customers and pass leads onto the traders thereby increasing the market share, turn over and customer base of the branch.

Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12
Previous success in a telesales environment preferably selling meat
Computer literate (Excel, Word & CRM knowledge essential)
Good knowledge of stock lists and a good understanding of how to interpret stock information
General knowledge of the trading function and strong negotiating skills
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good communication, interpersonal & organising skills
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans

Duties:
Grow sales by actively canvassing for and expanding a new customer base.
Personally liaise with and visit existing and potential customers in order to promote sales thereby generating increased turn over.
Promote all existing products and identify opportunities of introduce and sell new product lines.
Implement creative sales strategies and professionalism in order to enhance sales.
Build and maintain healthy customer business relations according to sound business ethics.
Ensure the prompt and efficient servicing of customers.
Execute and co-ordinate all administrative related functions pertaining to your selling function.
Establish and maintain sound communication channels with customers.
Manage the telesales function in a professional, efficient and effective manner.
Compile and manage weekly telesales schedules.
Canvas for and obtain new accounts/customers on a continuous basis.
Maintain regular telephonic contact with customers to determine customer needs.
Identify customer’s requirements and sell the correct product to customers after receipt of an order.
Conduct regular visits to all customers, strengthen relations and become familiar with customer facilities, needs and demands.
