• Full financial accounting function of group entities
o Develop and obtain board approval for a Financial and Risk Policy for the group (SA and Africa) – aligned to the Company’s Strategic Plan.
o Conduct reviews of Management accounts and provide feedback to ensure accuracy, completeness and validity.
o Improve and drive business processes at every level of the business. Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvements.
o Ownership and Administrator of the complete SAGE solution (accounting, CRM, gateway).
o Responsible for vendor contracts.
o Manage and control the renewal process / annuity income and VTiger reporting.
o Build and maintain contact with external stakeholders.
• Manage Finance team
o Build relationships with the respective Financial Supervisors in the branches and ensure that they manage the teams accordingly to ensure procedure compliance across the teams.
o Ensure all staff adhere to their responsibilities and deadlines – including quarterly performance reviews.
o Training and support to finance staff.
o Review and authorise:
? GL reconciliations
? Statutory reports: VAT, PAYE, Provisional Tax, IT14 – etc.
? Accounting entries: journals, invoices, credit notes, quotes and orders
? Orders: payments, GP%
? Monthly salaries
? Travel and capital expenditure
• Ensure all Financial Policies and Regulations are adhered to (Africa and SA)
o Ensure financial terms within employment and customers contracts / SLA agreements are as per regulations.
o Safeguard the assets of the company through appropriate insurance policies, and the implementation and maintenance of internal policies and controls.
o Manage and control the credit control process and policy.
• Accurate Financial Reporting
o Establish a reporting tool for management accounts to provide high quality financial information.
o Monitor and manage foreign and local cash flows and expenditure – prepare the necessary reports.
o Information analyses: current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior financial years, budget etc.
o In partnership with Logistics and Sales – determine the financial impact due to product cost reduction, new product roll out, exchange rate changes etc., and prepare periodic forecasts to update management on projected results.
• General
o Support and assist the HR Manager.
o Handle all administrative issues for all branches and entities.
o Drive and facilitate the annual audit process.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience: • Grade 12
• BCom Degree in Management Accounting/ BCom in Accounting and Auditing
• Completed Articles
• Registered CA
• Staff management skills
• 10 years’ experience (5 on management level)
• IT / Distribution experience – preferred
Technical Competencies: • Microsoft Excel – Advanced Skills
• Working experience on ERP system (Pastel Evolution)
• Working experience on Pastel Payroll/VIP payroll
Behavioral Competencies: • Good communication skills, both written and spoken
