Temporary Financial Consultant (3 month contract), Bryanston - Ref: 1088744-2

Large-scale investments are made to modernise their production process and greenfield development with rapid implementation of state-of-the-art technologies throughout the entire production chain, ranging from mining operations to metallurgy.
As part of their strategy they develop tier-1 assets, upgrade existing capacities to boost performance and build new environmentally friendly and safe production facilities. This approach helps them to unlock the unique potential of their assets, be a reliable partner for their customers across the globe and ensure sustainable growth and long-term development of the company.
They currently have an opportunity for a Temporary Financial Consultant. The successful incumbent will be a qualified CA (SA) or hold an Advanced Diploma in Accounting Sciences together with 3-5 years financial management experience.
Position details:

Obtain and prepare financial statements and complete necessary taxes.
Collect the relevant information as required for Transfer pricing purposes for 2016, 2017 and 2018
Complete reconciliations
Draft and implement a collection procedure for transaction falling within the transfer pricing requirements for 2019 and going forward.
AFS 2018 preparation, including XBRL filling prep.
Restarting of previous financials in reference to the new IFRS15 implementation - documentation for audit purpose.
Completion of IT14 SD:- FY2016/- FY2017/- 2018 processes documentation and implementation.
Process documentation and Policies update.
Establish contracts in place, test pricing of approved vendors (annual test).
Value-adding cost review / Ad-hoc management audits.
Document Financial processes / Policies not documented yet, with emphasis on reasonable controls.
Categorise purchases in terms of those covered by contracts, and those covered under approved vendors lists or ad-hoc;
- If any identified to be placed on contract, facilitate tender process and complete contract;
- Review, test and finalize approved vendor list for 2018+
- Also complete BEE verification of vendors used

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Qualification:
CA (SA) or Adv Dip MA (Completion of Management level) / ACMA CGMA
Critical Work experience
3-5 years financial management or management consulting experience (preferably in the mining industry)
3-5 year tax experience preferably in transfer pricing
Systems: JD Edwards / Pastel
Excellent Excel skills
