Tender Administrator and New Business Development

Minimum 3-5 years experience in Tender administration (Not Construction Industry or Project administrators)
Excellent communication and organisational skills

KPA Key Performance Indicators
BD – Financial • Engage SCM units of departments for opportunities that are below the tender requirements – Target – R1,000,000
• Win new clients/new Work;
• Refer work to other regions;
• Liase with managers to actively promote any sale opportunities.
BD - Client • Maintain an accurate and current client database;
• Maintain regular contact with Key Clients and organize client events/meetings to build and strengthen relationships.
• Ensure distribution of latest marketing material to clients and invite them to Morar events/Functions.
• Ensure adequate levels of marketing material are maintained within the offices.
• Identify potential clients and decision makers within government departments.
• Research and build relationships with new clients.
• Attend government events etc to identify opportunities and market trends.
• Share market intelligence with the team and relevant competitor information.
• Be able to demonstrate a full knowledge of all products offered within Morar Inc, relevant selling points and benefits.
BD - Proposals • Identify suitable tenders for the regions and engage directors/managers for completion thereof.
• Maintain a proposal register of all proposals including the deadlines and support the technical team in ensuring that deadlines are met.
• Ensure proposal fees are paid for tenders that require payment of a tender fee.
• Ensure suitable arrangements are made for the attendance of compulsory briefing sessions.
• Zero tolerance on compliance from all tender requirements (100% compliance)
• Be innovative with regard to presentation and packaging of proposals.
• Ensure all proposals are submitted within the relevant closing days (100% compliance)
• Create & Maintain a proposal database with all necessary information for quick and effective support to the technical team (Client experience, updates cv’s, methodologies, company profiles, etc)
• Constantly ensure availability of tax clearance certificates and other relevant documents.
• Update the tender register with all relevant details. Submit the tender register on a monthly basis to Head office.
• Constantly follow up with client on appointment status.
• Follow up with clients on reasons for Jobs lost and factor into future proposals. (100%)
BD - Supplier Database • Register/Maintain supplier registration for all government organizations (Target 3 registrations per week)
• Follow up registration status with clients.
• Submit bi-monthly reports to Head office on updated registration status.
Risk Management • Manage risk to the company at a client level and operational Level;
• Consult in areas of uncertainty;
• Formalize key communications to confirm client expectations.
• Comply with company Policies and procedures.
• Immediately report any issues that bring disrepute to the company.
Internal Processes • Positive attitude to work and organization;

• General relationships with staff and management;
• Verbal and Written Communication;
• Timesheet& Expense claim to be handed in on time;
