Our Client requires the services of suitably qualified X6 Test and Evaluation Technicians, on a 12-months fixed term contract. The ideal candidate will provide an innovative, cost effective and customer orientated component and product test and evaluation service to the Client.

Key Performance Areas:
- Technical management of internal and external projects and functions
- Planning, coordination and initiation of laboratory and field test
- Specify test requirements compile test instructions
- Execute Acceptance Test Procedures
- Compile Acceptance Test Reports
- Prepare hardware in terms of installation of transducers, signal conditioning, data capturing and signal cabling
- Perform tests in terms of calibration of transducers, instrumentation and data capturing
- Large amounts (20 Gbyte) electronic data capturing on-site
- Manage and maintain facilities and equipment
- Participate in SHE Program
- Apply all applicable Company Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions

Critical Skills:
- Mechanical and Electro-mechanical qualification with experience
- Ability to do precise and accurate transducer and strain gauge installations
- Knowledge and experience in the correct application and limitations of different measurement techniques
- Knowledge and experience of the correct calibration techniques
- Knowledge and experience of weapon systems and components for safe proofing and functional acceptance tests
- Maintain good interpersonal skills and relationships with project, line and executive management and subordinates
- Good negotiation skills
- Must not be colour blind

Requirements:
- BSc / BEng Mech / Elec
- Other qualifications and relevant experience will be considered
- At least 5 years relevant experience
- Willingness to be away from home for extended (typically three months per year) periods
