Test & Measurement Sales Engineer, Sandton, R15k pm + benefits

Requirements:
• National Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering of B.Tech Electronic Engineering
• Exposure and use of Electronic Test and Measurement Instrumentation
• 2 years sales experience in the high voltage field
• Attended sales training courses
• Basic P.C. literacy
• Technical skills as defined above.
• Communication skills, negotiation, information gathering, problem solving, team work, understand the industry, integrity, ethical conduct and personal drive
• In depth knowledge of Electronics and Telecommunications markets.
• In depth knowledge of the Electronics and Telecommunications industry and markets in South Africa.

Responsibilities:
• Sell Electronic Test and Measurement Instrumentation and Systems, Radio Frequency (RF) and Telecommunications Equipment, Fibre and recorder solutions utilising the Test and Measurement agencies held by the company into a geographically defined area.
• Be responsible for submitting professionally prepared quotes and tenders to the clients in that area
• Support colleagues with specialist knowledge obtained with training in specialised areas.
• Prepare, in conjunction with management, the yearly sales quota for the area.
• Interface with all internal departments and foreign principals when required
• Prepare and present full product presentations to clients.
• Ensure all orders are entered through the correct channels within the company, accompanied by all relevant documentation.
• Attend all sales meetings and training sessions.
• Submit, on a weekly basis, call reports and call plans.
• Build solid relationships with clients.
• Monthly forecast and update of project list
• Maintain a detailed list of customer contacts with position held, full address, telephone and e-mail address information.
• Responsible for selling appropriate solutions into the designated area, and being accountable for the viability of the solutions as well as accountable for achieving the sales quota at the required gross profit. as specified by the company from time to time
• The authority to decide on the solutions to be offered to the client, as well as signing of proposal documents within the company Approval Framework policy
