Set clearly defined objectives for the test team; highlighting timelines and setting short term goals to achieve tasks within the given timelines
Assign tasks to all testing team members and ensure that everyone have an appropriate workload for each sprint
Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization
Track and prepare progress report of testing activities; Organize test status meetings and send status reports weekly to all stakeholders
Coordinate and supervise the defect management process. Utilize input from subject matter experts and senior resources within the team (Hardware, Firmware and Software engineers) for better understanding and resolution options
Communicate effectively at all levels, source appropriate information and encourage feedback to ensure understanding
Exercise diplomacy when stakeholders challenge turn-around times on releases of features where testing has not been completed
Define the scope of testing within each sprint and each release/delivery
Plan and manage the testing effort for any given sprint / release
Defect management and timeous reporting to all Stakeholders
Ensuring that the ultimate focus of testing warrant that the product works as per the requirement and that there are minimal defects
Manage Team dynamics and expectations
Take part in motivating the team, ensuring employee wellness and staff retention
Ensure that the structure of the test team hierarchy allows for opportunities to enhance testing careers
Rotate team responsibilities for overall testing exposure and to build a well-equipped mature team
Document clear roles and responsibilities; monitoring performance and personal development
Performance management of the test team includes reviews and development plans; identify training requirements; skills enhancement and overall well-being

Job Requirements Educational Requirements
Experience needed:
Relevant tertiary qualification ISEB/ISTQB Intermediate Certificate in Software
Minimum of 3yrs experience as a Test Lead
Excellent knowledge on SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
Knowledge of the Release Management process
Exposure to Agile Methodology an enhancement
Excellent Interpersonal skills and organizing skills
Able to multi-task and manage priorities across multi-disciplinary projects
Strong Management skills
