Be part of a passionate team of experts! We are seeking a Registered Nurse with theatre recovery experience to work in the theatre unit at one of the private hospital known for its reputation of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivers comprehensive and quality patient care to meet the health needs of patients in the Recovery Room.
• Adheres to Patients’ Rights at all times.
• Prevents reports and manages medico-legal risks
• Patient records and registers meet legal requirements.
• Control of stock and equipment in accordance with hospital policy.
• Identifies and addresses continuous professional development (CPD) needs

Applicants for this position must :

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
• Prior recovery experience will be an advantage.
• Willingness to work shifts in accordance with the requirements of the unit.
• A post basic Diploma or Certificate in Anaesthetic and Recovery Nursing Science will be an advantage.
• Competent in the demonstration and assessment of all clinical procedures and management of risks.
• Basic knowledge of stock control principles
• The ability to identify and report near-misses and adverse events.
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, the Scientific Nursing Process and BCA bundles.
