We’re seeking a theatre scrub Registered Nurse with cardiac experience to be part of well advanced theatre department in a highly regarded private facility situated on the West Coast of Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities of this Theatre Scrub Nurse:
• Provide and assist in the management in Cardiac operating theatre
• Ensure accurate charge by managing theatre clock times
• Ensure consignment stock, equipment and prosthesis is charged according to policy
• Manage stock, regular stock taking and controlling of the consignment stock in accordance with the hospital policy
• Ensure the correct use of theatre equipment and instrumentation by educating and supervising staff on the correct utilization of the equipment
• Obtain the correct information pre-operatively and visiting the patient post-operatively
• Ensure ‘theatre slate’ is up to date

Requirements:
• SANC Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 3 years theatre scrub experience.
• Able to scrub for multiple disciplines, ideally for cardiac
• Diploma in Operating theatre science is advantageous
• Be competent across a range of theatre skills, professional and clinical knowledge
