Premier Hospital located in the Southern Suburb of Cape Town seeks to employ a Theatre Scrub Sister to join its team of practitioners. The role consists of ensuring that all stock is well controlled and managed.

Description:

• Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately
• Keep abreast of current research in the discipline
• Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities
• Contribute to the holistic care of patients
• Attend handover of report at shift commencement
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care

Applicants for this position must:

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
• Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing would be advantageous.
• Relevant experience in cardiac surgery would be advantageous
• Ventilator experience (advantageous)
