Theatre Scrub Sisters are urgently needed for one of Durban’s largest Private Hospitals.

Theatre Scrub Sisters to have a minimum of two to three years Theatre Scrub experience!

Skill Requirements:

• Theatre Trained or well Experienced
• Ensure safe and clean environment of theatre for the patient and visitor
• Excellent service for all patients
• Equipment are in working order
• Supplies, equipment and sets are prepared according to operation
• Proper identification of patient, operation and site of operation
• Ability to Scrub for various cases such as Gynaecology, ENT, General
• Accurate record keeping
• Supervises and evaluates quality of patient care through patient rounds
• Communicate with patient and family regarding patient care and informs Unit Manager of patient care problems

Applicants for this position must:

• Proof of current SANC Registration – Registered Nurse
• Theatre Technique certificate would be advantageous.
• Previous experience as a Scrub Sister
• Ability to work flexible shifts/night duty
• Communicate at all levels
