An opening has arisen for a Surgical Assistant Based in Polokwane. The Surgical Assistant will assist in the development of Trauma product portfolio by:

• Covering cases as required in theatre
• Providing 24/7 Key Customer Service and support to surgeons
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
• Getting information – observing, receiving and obtaining information from all relevant sources
• Inspecting equipment and material to identify the cause of or potential errors, problems or defects
• Updating and using relevant knowledge, keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to the job.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

• Provide technical assistance to surgeons and theatre nurses
• Ensuring correct instruments and supplies are ready and available to surgeons or surgeons assistants as required prior to theatre
• Competently do a surgical scrub of hands
• Wash ‘The Company’ equipment using germicides
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
• Works closely with the Sales Reps to ensure that target is achieved each Period
