This job is responsile for planning, supervising and managing the operational functions and activities of the Toolroom. To ensure that the production departments are supplied with the correct tooling while maintaining a constant drive to improve quality and productivity and reduce tooling costs. Ensure that all Toolroom staff are optimally utilised, with attention to safety and quality.

Minimum Requirements ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12
• Qualified Tool & Die maker


EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 5 year Toolroom experience in a production environment (Work that has prepared you for this job)
• MS Office experience
• Supervisory experience
• Drivers Licence – Code EB

Duties & Responsibilities
• Planning of daily activities and tool repair
• Planning and overseeing the preparing and issuing of tools to production departments
• Monitoring and analysing tool usage and implementing improvement projects/programmes
• Monitoring and reporting on all Toolroom KPI’s
• Ensuring that all tools have CAD drawings and that tools conform to the drawings
• Ensure no wastage of material and consumables
• Supervision & Training of Direct Reports
• Ensure sufficient tooling and spares are kept as per pre-defined quantities
• Risk Assessments are performed and revised
• Ensure that housekeeping and safety is kept to a high standard
