Trackless Miner / Blasting Certificate Metalliferous/block caving – Gauteng -contract
Must have a Grade 12/or NQF Level 4 (relevant to position)
Must have a Valid Permanent Blasting Certificate Metalliferous (Hard Rock Mining) essential
Completion of a Supervisory Development Programme
Must have Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as a Miner within a trackless mining environment
Must have 2-3 years min. experience gained as a Drill Rig Operator
Identify deviations or non-conformances, plan and implementing corrective actions to ensure attainment of the production plan
Install, maintain, support and remove temporary support in mining excavations
Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy working environment in the work place
Perform risk assessments (Activity Based and Mini)
Responsible for collecting, handling, transporting and storing explosives
Responsible for examining, making and declaring workplaces safe and healthy for work
Responsible for planning, controlling, leading and organising repairs and breakdowns
Responsible for testing, monitoring and controlling gases
Supervise and execute blasting operations such as controlling of explosives, preparing working face for blasting, charging up of face and sites, conducting blasting and treating misfires
Supervise or execute tasks related to block caving
Will be Working overtime, standby and must be available for call-outs should the need arise
Must be prepared to relocate to all areas
R28 000- R30 000 plus overtime / call outs pay and benefits
