Job Title: Trackless Mobile Machinery Foreman
Location: Koffiefontein

Job Description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who will be responsible for the coordination of maintenance and repair of the trackless mobile fleet in accordance with sound engineering practices and equipment specifications.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Investigate diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repairs to equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements.
Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety regulations, manufacturing and Company standards.
Identify spares requirements for machinery and equipment and order according to departmental procedure.
Maintain good relationships with operational personnel Assign corrective measures and follow up on outstanding/overdue actions.
Must be prepared to work outside normal working hours, shifts and overtime if required to do so.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12,
NATED 3/NCV Level 3 Diesel Mechanic Trade Test through a recognised/accredited institution, preferably MQA or MIETTB (Mining Industry Engineering Trade Board)
At least 5 years’ experience as a Mechanic of which 2 years should preferably be at supervisory level.•Valid driver’s license, Computer literate, MS Office Suite

Other Skills/Competencies:

Ability to communicate in Afrikaans and English (written and verbally).
Knowledge and application of relevant software packages, engineering procedures, multi disciplinary functions in engineering operations and Mine Health and Safety regulations are essential.
Sound knowledge of mining and metallurgy diamond process will be an advantage.
Must be able to lead and guide a Team.

Preference will be given to suitable candidates from the designated groups in line with the Company’s Employment Equity Policy and Plan and internal candidates. Pre screening, profile testing, on mine assessments, medical and security clearance form part of the recruitment and selection process. Short listed candidates will be required to attend a panel interview. Employment of the successful candidate is subject to the aforementioned criteria.Preference will be given to candidates who reside within our host labour sending area of Letsemeng / Xhariep District Municipalities(proof of residence may be requested)
