Trade Insights Analyst - Stellenbosch
To analyse and generate meaningful insights using internal and external data sources to drive data driven engagement strategies that build a competitive advantage for the company.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following :
Assist in compiling accurate, insightful and actionable Category and Brand Review presentations
Develop and maintain standard reports relevant to cross functional stakeholders
Regular monthly ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support the broader Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales and Regional teams
Translate numerical data into insights and actionable plans
Build relationships internally and externally that facilitates insights delivery to key stakeholders
Constantly searching for innovative, better and faster ways of pulling data and compiling presentations
The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:
An appropriate tertiary qualification /degree in Marketing, Research, Statistics, Business etc.
The position requires a driven, results orientated individual with strong problem solving and operational planning skills
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work with cross functional teams.
A solid understanding of data insights with a proven track record and minimum of 3 years’ experience in an analytics role:
• Strong data and analytics skills
• Strong business and system process analysis
• Computer literate in MS Office (Advanced Excel) and Qlikview
• High attention to detail
• Previous experience in using Dunnhumby and SmartShopper Data, Nielsen, BMi, IRI or shopper market research programs will be
• Knowledge of the liquor market is advantageous
