All 4 roles have the same basic duties and responsibilities – except for years of experience! Duties and responsibilities

Administering routine correspondence
Preparing and lodging applications for renewals, assignments and other proprietor changes, etc.
High volume of dicta typing
Preparing trade mark forms and certificates for lodging with the Registrar
Communicating with search clerks at Trade Marks Office
Attending to accounting queries (suspense items, credit notes etc.)
Debit notes
Own drafting of routine letters and correspondence
Creating and printing trade mark listing from computer records
Opening of new files

Requirements

Typing speed of 60 wpm
Ability to do Dictaphone typing
In-depth knowledge of Patricia and CMS will be an advantage
Matric/ National Diploma or equivalent qualification
Secretarial Diploma/Certificate (preferably legal)

1st role:
2-3+ yrs relevant experience as a legal secretary

2nd role:
5+ yrs minimum legal secretary experience

3rd role:
5+ yrs minimum legal secretary experience (preferably in Trade Marks)

4th role:
7+ yrs relevant experience as a secretary
