Job Description:

The company is looking for an effective Trade Support Specialist who is able to effectively implement projects in the international operations area and to efficiently and accurately support the Fund Accountants in the operations area with investment administration

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Client Queries
2. Assisting with International product and client queries and requests

Regulatory Reporting:

1. Assisting with the Global custodian tax reporting and submissions
2. Assisting with the preparation and checking of the quarterly SARB reports
3. Assisting with compliance reporting queries 

Foreign SSI updates:

1. Keeping current the SSI and Foreign settlement instructions database
2. Logging Foreign SSI details with various administrator/brokers/traders

Foreign Account Opening:

1. Responsible for the end to end account opening process
2. Sourcing, review and completion of all account opening documentation
3. Responsible for proxy voting documentation completion including POA completion
4. Ensuring all new back office operational sets are complete with specific focus on swift reporting
5. Updating of all market opening details in the foreign SSI database
6. Logging new account details with relevant parties
7. Ensuring all trade related SSI details are sourced and updated

Cash management:

1. Reviewing and reporting of projected and actual cash positions
2. Assisting with resolution of cash queries
3. Communicating with various custodians with regards to cash management.

Fund of Fund (FOF) Trade instruction and settlement process:

1. Assist with the implementation of the international trade workflow
2. Assist with review of trade inbox and ensuring that all forex and FOF instructions are implemented
3. Assist with the settlement of forex trades
4. Assist with the maintenance of the investment tracker

Market Trade Confirmations, Settlements and FX – Offshore:

1. Resolution of foreign trade settlement queries
2. Analysis of failed trade costs and trade errors resulting in claims and responsible for claims process
3. Responsible for all private placement and bridge trade transactions
4. Responsible for manual trade instructions to Global custodians
5. Responsible for FX queries w.r.t. offshore market trades
6. Responsible for management of FX transactions on the back of cancelled and amended trades
7. Responsible for the review and updating of standing instructions across all offshore portfolios

Fund and Instrument pricing:

1. Assist with collating and dissemination of daily/weekly/monthly pricing for International instruments
   
   Ad hoc:

1. Assisting on ad hoc re with request/queries within the team

Ideal Experience:

1. 5+ years related experience
2. Middle Office role within asset management environment

Ideal Qualifications:

Graduate or equivalent (Accounting, Investment management an advantage)
