PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The traffic assistant will work with various departments and individuals in an organization to ensure materials and resources flow through the company in a timely manner. And co-ordinate all jobs that are in the system, to ensure the efficient output of work.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Traffic assistant must communicate with individuals at different levels in the organisation and may be required to prepare budget and progress reports for upper management
• Monitor the flow of materials or resources through the process to ensure on time delivery.
• Coordinate / troubleshoot problems to make sure a project or process remains on schedule.
• Develop work schedules in various departments to ensure work is completed on time.
• To confirm that a work process is progressing on schedule, coordinators monitor communication and work between departments.
• Ensuring that all jobs are put into the system and revert within 24hrs of receiving the brief if not sooner.
• Ensuring that all jobs are allocated an appropriate team and given clear timings.
• Communication with client service at all times.
• Communication with the entire Traffic department to ensure efficient work planning.
• Constant communication with the print/electronic production departments to ensure follow through of all jobs.
• Allocation of work to the relevant creative teams with the approval of the Creative Director.

KNOWLEDGE
• Advanced knowledge of office and administrative practices and principles.
• Knowledge in the operation of computers, related software applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
• Knowledge of advertising trends and developments.
• Ability to exercise discretion and ensure a high-level of confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with a diverse population.
