Traffic Manager
Location: Muizenberg, Cape Town
Salary: R10k – R13k per month negotiable
 
Requirements:
  • Matric
  • 3+ years' traffic experience
  • Retail Traffic Management /Project Management Experience
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Project Management
 
Duties:
  • Meet with the heads of departments to learn about the status of existing projects/jobs, and details about new products coming into the warehouse
  • Create a schedule for new jobs, and assign those tasks using the trafficking system in place
  • Review current and future timelines and job statuses with the heads of department, and if necessary, the individuals working on the jobs.
  • Reschedule projects based on new or changing priorities.
  • Report to management about the current workflow, and communicate any possible issues with too much, or too little, work coming into the team
  • Managing the workflow
  • Scheduling and resourcing to the creative department
  • Scheduling internal meetings & creative reviews
  • Liaison with all managers and copy writers
  • Assisting the operations manager whenever needed
  • Filing and general office duties
  • Follow up on tasks within the project plan assigned to specific stakeholders across various departments, to ensure that deadlines are met and that the project runs on time. Communicate issues, risks and consequences to the project manager
  • Planning and managing the workflow within cross-functional teams. 
  • Responsible for tasking staff correctly on projects.        
  • Working closely with the Project Director on prioritization of tasks.           
  • Follow up on tasks, agreed commitments and map out next steps.
  • Communicate throughout the business value chain.
  • Coordinating requests from various departments
  • Ensure that all project documentation is up to date and appropriately stored and accessible by all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and schedule all project meetings.
  • Prepare agendas for each meeting and capture and distribute all action items and minutes to the relevant stakeholders. Follow up on next steps.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining payment records, documentation and budgets.  This includes the processing of supplier PO’s, payment requests for approval, capturing and reporting on project costs and managing all travel/fuel/ credit card expenses for projects.
  • Critically examine project information to ensure accuracy and quality before submitting to the Project Director.
  • Maintaining Project Management planning platforms and tools
  • planning and managing project workflow and deliverables 
  •  Ensuring that individual contributor workloads are distributed appropriately and effectively
  • Handling and coordinating project requests and ensuring that deliverables correspond to designated deadlines and briefs
  • Holding weekly status meetings and managing the daily schedules of our creative teams
  • Updating and informing our project manager and relevant stakeholders on project statuses and delay issues
  • Arranging all internal reviews with our project manager, creative director, CMO and other stakeholders
  • Creating a monthly forecast to ensure best practice regarding planning
  • Reporting back on success metrics (KPIs) for each project
  • Assisting the project manager with briefing and debriefing processes
  • Managing, monitoring and updating our project management tools to create transparency across assignments
