Our client requires the Trainee Technical Manager to manage the maintenance, servicing and health and safety of buildings and facilities.

Key performance areas:

? Complex maintenance problems advice and assistance
? Daily Maintenance management
? OHSA adherence
? Projects management
? Outsourced service provider performance monitoring
? Servicing management (e.g.: air-conditioning; fire-hoses / extinguishers; transformers etc.)
? Priority setting and scheduling management (annual, monthly, weekly and daily work planning)
? Performance monitoring – building maintenance (e.g.: inspections, site visits etc.)
? Process, policies, procedures and performance standards management
? Escalated operational issue resolution
? Maintenance Budget Management

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a degree/ diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering
? 1-2 years’ experience within the Property/ Construction Industry
? 1-2 years facilities management within the retail industry experience
? Financial knowledge
? Building, HVAC & Construction technical knowledge and skills
? Working knowledge of property maintenance system, preferably SAP
? Computer literate
? Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
? Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills
