Trainer - Cape Town

About the company:


Our Client is a leader in long-term insurance and they are seeking to employ a Trainer to train new staff on all products and processes applicable to their clients.



Responsibilities:




  • Deliver basic competency training to new service, quality and sales staff

  • Develop and refresh training material

  • Coach and mentor current service and sales staff to ensure ongoing development and feedback

  • Initiate and participate in calibration sessions to identify gaps between the training room and live environment

  • Provide comprehensive feedback for the team leaders on new staff competency levels, including communication skills

  • Facilitate the collation of new or amended product, process and systems information from different business areas

  • Remain up to date on how processes and systems are used by quality, service and sales teams on a daily basis

  • Coordinate and schedule refresher or update sessions

  • Train current staff on amendments to processes and systems 

  • Quality Assurance of training material and assessments

  • To ensure ongoing skills development of current staff


 Requirements:



  • Must have experience in the Long Term Insurance experience

  • Matric Essential

  • Relevant Training qualification advantageous

  • 1 – 2 years’ working experience in training environment within the financial services industry

  • Created and ensured relevance of training material

  • Planned and coordinated training sessions in a dynamic environment

  • Delivered structured and ad hoc training sessions with new and current staff

  • Coached and mentored staff in a live environment

  • Liaised with business areas regarding new or updated material

  • Provided reports on competency and behaviour of trainees

  • Completed administration and filing
