Main Duties and responsibilities are:
1. Training
a. Serve as a firearm instructor for clients and for internal employees.
b. Ensure all shooting activities comply with the safety regulations.
c. Communicate with clients and ensure that all clients have signed the Memorandum of Agreement for confirmed activities.
d. Control Shooting Range and Firearm training bookings.
e. Control Ammunition and Firearms registry.
f. Collect and deliver training firearms from the gun shop to the training facility as required.
g. Consult with service providers to ensure training material stock levels are maintained.
h. Compile monthly training reports.

2. Operations
a. Supervise Range maintenance and ensure compliance with NRCS.
b. Purchase ammunition, targets and accessories as required.
c. Conduct key holder duties and monitoring of site alarms systems.
d. Serve as responsible person for company firearms.
e. Ensure all related registers and permits are up to date.
f. Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the range at all times.
g. Monitor all activity on the shooting lanes at all times.
h. Assist customers with appropriate lane and target operation.
i. Promote and smoothly execute instructional programs and shooting events.
j. Follow emergency response plans when required.
k. Attend training as required by the Training Manager.
l. Communicate in a professional and courteous manner with employees and clients.
m. Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance at all times.


Minimum Qualifications:
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of firearm training experience.
• Grade A PSIRA registered.
• Advanced Level Firearm Instructor.
• Facilitator’s, assessors, and moderators accreditation.
• South African Police Services (SAPS) issued competency certificate for all unit standards based firearms.
• Computer literate in all MS Office programs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in English and Afrikaans.
