Position: Training Officer
Type: Permanent
Location: Port Elizabeth

Requirements:
• Matric/Grade 12
• Relevant Human Resources Management Diploma/Degree or any other relevant technical degree/diploma.
• 1-3 year’s facilitation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1-3 years’ experience in development of internal course material.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of GMP would be advantageous
• Computer literacy at Intermediate level is required
• Completed Train the Trainer course would be advantageous
• Skills Development Facilitator course would be advantageous
• Training material development and assessment course/s would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure GMP training plan is developed for plant, in line with operations plan
• Communicate GMP training plan to customer for action
• Align policy & procedures where applicable
• Ensure deadlines are measured against annual training plan
• Assess operational effectiveness of employees
• Ensure objectives of training plan are achieved or updated
• Ensure solutions are resourced or developed according to training strategy
• Research best training solutions and practices and ensure action plans are formulated and implemented according to budget restraints and company policy
• Implement GMP training plans
• Develop and/or customise training material
• Present, facilitate and co-ordinated training courses
• Identity and training of delegates
• Assess and give feedback to all trained delegates for competency
• Deliver GMP training to ensure competency
• Complete reports and statistics monthly, quarterly and annually
• Relevant information is communicated, confidentially maintained and securely stored
• Update policies and procedures on a regular basis
• Proposals are made for improvement to systems, policies and procedures
• Align training practices to legislation and industry requirement
• Ensure SOP’s are updated regularly and are available for on the job coaching and assessment
• Complete and maintain training records in an orderly manner
• Ensure training is acquired to accommodate new technology
• Align training and development with departmental requirements
• Encourage best practices to ensure competitive edge
• Co-ordinate up-skilling and multi-skilling in line with self-development
• Recognise learning achievements to encourage staff contributions
• Improve continuous performance standards
