Your key job responsibilities as the Training Specialist in Cape Town will include:

- Assess organizational training needs through consultation with stakeholders at all levels
- Structure training plans that address needs and expectations in the form of short and long-term courses
- Deploy a variety of training methods throughout these courses and oversee the production of course handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals
- Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions into all courses
- Monitor, evaluate and report on course effectiveness, and tailor programs as necessary
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of education principles, training techniques and best practices
- Market available training opportunities
- Maintain a constantly updated curriculum database and training records
- Provide train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
- Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment

Requirements for this Training Specialist job in Cape Town:

- BA/MA degree or equivalent in training or another relevant field
- 3+ years of experience as a trainer, educator, training facilitator or course convener in a corporate setting or a tertiary education environment
- Accreditation as an assessor with CATHSSETA or equivalent
- Accreditation as a facilitator
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
- A strong interest in the use and benefits of digital training platforms
- A track record of designing and executing successful educational courses and training programs
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of learning management software and its implementation in a corporate environment
- The ability to package complex and unfamiliar information in a manner which renders it accessible to a variety of audiences
- Strength in report writing and record keeping
- An affinity for technology
